During the course of the final term, the families at St. Benedict School dug deep and responded so generously to help those in need. Our yearly Love Box project, yet again, had a wonderful response and the gifts were delivered to Ixopo at the end of November. The Grade 5 classes collected cordial juice to aid a project that feeds the poor and homeless people outside Pinetown Police Station. The Grade 7’s cooked meals at home and sold it to the staff. The money raised was then used to make gift packs for the street children of Mariannhill. The Grade 6’s made gift bags and took them to Mpola creche where they spent some time with the little ones. The Grade 3’s invited some less privileged children to our school where they gave them party packs and spent the morning playing with them in our Grade R playground. We are so proud of our learners and how they embody our Ethos.
