In the true spirit of the Comrades Marathon, our school decided to join in the fun and hosted their own mini-Comrades on Friday. Each learner in the Primary School got to design their own race number and they all lined up and waited for the cock’s crow to start them off. They followed a set route with water tables along the way and managed to make it back before the final cut-off time. They all received a finisher’s medal and the morning reinforced the fact that life isn’t always about winning but more about challenging yourself to do your best and helping your friends along the way.
