From the Principal’s Desk
Welcome to St Benedict School. We are an Independent, Catholic, Co-Educational, day school in Pinetown, KwaZulu- Natal. We cater for students from Grade RRR through to Grade 12. Our Grade 12 students write the Independent Examination Board Examinations (IEB).
We are a small, hidden gem in the Pinetown area. Our unique character emanates from the spirituality of the school’s founders, the Missionary Sisters of the Precious Blood. From its inception nearly 64 years ago, it has been a family school where everybody is welcomed, no matter what background, both cultural and religious, and where mutual appreciation and love binds us all together as a community of equals and friends.
At St Benedict School, we provide a space where we hope that every student can find their special niche and feel that they belong. Our small classes allow our teachers to provide individual attention to all our students. The caring environment and ethos is tangible as you walk the corridors of the school.
Despite being a small school, we strive to provide our students with as many opportunities as possible. Our sporting areas include swimming, hockey, soccer, cricket, netball, chess, basketball, cross country, obstacle course racing and tennis to name a few. Our senior students are invited to join the Enviro Club, Debating Club and Toastmasters on the cultural side.
We celebrate that every day is Open Day at St Benedict School and we invite you to book an appointment with our school secretary to have a guided tour of our campus.
We look forward to welcoming you to our family.
