St Benedict School’s Fundraising Association hosted a Disco on Friday evening which was open to all learners from Grade RR to Grade 7. The Primary school learners had lots of fun doing the Makarena, the Juicy Wiggle and “Flossing” etc. and were very reluctant to leave at 8:30pm.
Our learners joined in the fun by celebrating Slipper Day on Friday. Learners loved the opportunity to wear their comfy slippers to school with their uniforms. All funds raised went to the Reach for a Dream Foundation.
We went a little book crazy this week. Wednesday was BOOK DAY and all the Primary School learners got the opportunity to dress up as their favourite book characters. Learners arrived at school dressed as everything from Princes and Princesses, to Harry Potter and Pinnochio . In the last week of term 1, we held our annual Primary School Inter-house Cross Country event. Every learner from Grade 1 to Grade 7 got to run the same course around the school grounds and much fun was had by all. Raphael House won the event with the most points.

Keeping to our theme “The Enchanted Wood”, the Grade 3’s went on an excursion to Giba Gorge. They enjoyed a guided walk where we learnt about indigenous and alien plants, swam in the pool at the base of the waterfall and had an Easter egg hunt.
